Saturday Morning, we were off to the explore the Imperial War Museum. The museum is a beautiful sight to see from the outside, as well as the inside. Once inside the museum, we saw years of rich wartime and triumph. There were replicas of planes and tanks, commemorations, and wartime experiences. My favorite part was experiencing the stimulation of the war. It felt like you were actually there, especially with the smoke gas.The Imperial War Museum was founded on 5 March 1917, for the creation of a national war museum to record the events still taking place during the Great War. The intention was to collect and display material as a record of everyone’s experiences during that war civilian and military and to commemorate the sacrifices of all sections of society.(IWM)
What I learned: I learned that there is a piece of the Berlin Wall that sits on the site of the Imperial War Museum.

Kensington Palace
Kensington Palace was in close proximity to our hotel, so it was a good idea to visit there. In 1689, William III bought the mansion originally known as Nottingham House from his Secretary of State, the Earl of Nottingham, and commissioned Christopher Wren to extend and improve the house.  (The British Monarchy)Throughout history, many monarchs have inhabited here. Today, Kensington Palace is home to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
What I Learned: I learned that Kensington Palace started life as a country mansion that William III and Queen Mary bought for 20,000 pounds in 1689.
